Well, it’s Black Sabbath. If you need any more exposition on that, then you probably won’t like Black Sabbath. One of the best loved British metal bands in the last, well, ever.
The Best Of album predictably contains all the best regarded Black Sabbath songs, possibly in chronological order (but probably not). Iron Man, Paranoid, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, they’re all here. Perfect for any metal fan who, for some reason, doesn’t already have any BS in their catalogue.
All you really need to know is that they’re re-releasing the hell out the back catalogue, but if you don’t already have the album in some form or other, it’ll probably mean very little to you. And if you do already have the album, then why would you buy this? For doggedly-loyal fans only, I feel.
Rating:

, simply because of who it is, but I can’t say I agree with shamelessly trying to cash in. After last month’s re-release of seminal album Paranoid, that’s exactly what it feels like.
