A lot can be said about Yeah Yeah Yeahs new direction and most of it would be negative (in my opinion). But with new single “Heads Will Roll” a small success can be found in amongst all the disappointment of the album it comes from.

It starts off with the sound of a fairground ride, all it needs is a scary looking fat guy with a humongous curly moustache saying “roll up, roll up” it’s probably be the theme tune to most of my nightmares, thanks Karen! The song follows suit of YYY new direction, plenty of electro, plenty of pop, downgraded guitars and obsolete drumming.

This song is destined to be on in your local trendy spot and it certainly worth your time dancing the night away to it. But if you’re an YYY of old you’re still be shaking your head and wondering where it all went wrong.
